A state-owned NHAI built 5,614 kilometers of national highways in the 2024-25 fiscal year, targeting the 5,150 kilometers of target, an official statement said. It added that the highest capital expenditure ever recorded in the NHAI during the fiscal year included government budget support and NHAI’s own resources. During FY24-25, NHAI used three modes for monetization, including Toll Operational Transfer (TOT), Invit, and Toll Security. “In the fiscal year, NHAI’s assets totaled Rs 287,24 crore,” the statement said, adding that this includes NHAI’s highest single-round invitation receipt worth Rs 17,738 crore.
