On Friday, Commissioner Madhukar Pandey said Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) police had jurisdiction over the large areas of Thana and Palgar regions and had introduced a multiple intrusion detection system based on artificial intelligence to enhance traffic surveillance and road safety.

He said the AI-based system was launched as a pilot project in March this year and released the first transportation challenge arising from this automation on April 7.

“This is a revolutionary leap in the development of transportation law enforcement.
AI-driven platforms will change how traffic violations are identified and acted upon.

Technology will minimize manual intervention and greatly improve the accuracy, speed and reliability of law enforcement. ” he said in a press conference.
