Afnan was arrested for his active role in criminal conspiracy, aiming to launch a war against security forces and civilians through targeted terrorist attacks, the investigative agency said.

The NIA also discovered that other terrorist organizations might be involved in the conspiracy behind the attack, discovered the three-person plan, accomplices and carried out grenade attacks with the aim of causing panic and terror in the area.


The NIA said the attack was part of a broader strategy to disrupt the public order and further the violent agenda of terrorist clothing that operates with the support of the border. Investigation of the case registered by the NIA on January 31, 2025 is continuing to identify the wider network involved in the attack.
