Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday reviewed the security situation at the scene of the Baisaran Meadow terrorist attack in Pahalgam after a tragic terrorist attack that killed many innocent lives on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, the Union Minister first took away the aerial stocks of the area when he arrived at the scene by helicopter and now fell to the grass that now has violent scars.
Amit Shah walked around in close security and was briefed by senior officials on the current situation and ongoing operations in the region. Alerts in the Kashmir Valley have increased following the attack, and this visit is targeted at tourists who are one of the major travel destinations in the region.

Before heading to Pahalgam, the Union Home Minister paid tribute to the victims in a poignant ceremony and met with the victims’ families outside the Srinagar police control room.
Amit Shah expressed the center’s firm determination to fight terrorism on X, noting: “Bharat will not succumb to terror.” Shah said: “With a heavy heart, he ended up giving the dead who was attacked by the Pahargam terrorist. Bharat will not succumb.
Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) team also came to the attack site to join the investigation and assisted Jamu and Kashmir police on the matter, which is considered the deadliest attack on the area for nearly 20 years.
The NIA team is led by a deputy inspector general-level official – after terrorists shot and killed a group of tourists on picturesque meadows, the team visited Baisaran, about five kilometers from the town of Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Kashmir.
Official sources for the development told ANI, “NIA team members will assist Jamu and Kashmir police in the investigation.” The NIA highlighted the key role of the entire investigation to JK police as agent The Rissance Front (TRF), a Pakistan-based terrorist costume Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.
The NIA team is expected to conduct a thorough assessment of the attack site, collect forensic evidence, and help identify the person responsible for the Holocaust.
