Nita Ambani, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt’s hair stylist revealed a shared belief about the hair spa, saying: “It can help, but only…”

Celebrity hairstylist Amit Thakur shared his expertise in whether hair spa treatments can effectively lower hair and promote overall hair health.
Celebrity hairstylist Amit Thakur is known for working with industry idols like Nita Ambani, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, and often shares hair care advice on Instagram. In the April 20 post, he explored whether hair spa treatments can fight hair falls and improve hair health.
“Amit has asked me about hair spas,” he clarified, “Hair spas are actually a multi-step therapy that nourishes your scalp and hair.” While salons often use hair spa treatments as a frizz solution, Amit admits it can help, but only temporarily. “Salon claims it helps frizz, and yes, it can temporarily solve your frizz,” he said.
Celebrity hair stylists prefer hair therapy centers rather than keratin or botulinum toxins because they do not change the natural structure of the hair. “With hair drop, hair spa has no huge impact on it, but the scalp is deeply cleaned in the process, which can promote healthier hair over time,” he shared. This positiones hair spa as a milder option than treatments that may damage hair.
He further emphasized that hair spa is not the complete solution to hair loss. “It is important to note that it doesn’t solve the root cause of hair falls you may be experiencing,” he said. “It can provide much-needed refreshes for your hair and scalp, but be clear that they won’t solve hair falls or solve the root cause. However, they are a more gentlemanly alternative to chemotherapy for your hair without changing its structure.”
Recently, in another Instagram video on his, he shared the benefits of egg and curd hair mask, a traditional therapy that enables healthy, shiny hair. However, the hairstylist mentioned in the video that although the eggs and curds provide a natural sheen to the hair bundle, the total nutrition for this is only temporary. “The DIY mask may make your hair lift quickly, but it’s all about the right ingredients when it comes to lasting results.” The caption of his post.
“Putting curds and eggs on your hair won’t make your hair healthy. While curds are rich in lactic acid, it helps balance the pH of your hair and makes it more adaptable. It won’t reverse hair damage,” Amit further said.
