No signs of NDSA’s final report on KLIS barrage

Hyderabad: Uncertainty continues to be imminent, whether to use the Annaram and Sundilla barrage of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Program (KLIS) this year, and whether partial repairs are to be done, but the rainy season can begin and start flooding the Godavari River, but partial damage can be done to the Medigadda barrage.
The government announced that it will be based on any decision on the future of KLIS only in the final report of the National Dam Safety Agency (NDSA). Although the final version was submitted about a month ago, the report was learned to be with the United Jal Shakti Department.
It may be remembered that after the Congressional administration came to power, it decided to follow the interim recommendations made by the NDSA over a year ago to avoid storing water on three railings. NDSA has said that water is stored in the Medigadda Barrage and appears with its heavily damaged blocks and base leaks from Annaram and Sundilla as this could result in greater damage to the ballistics as this could result in greater damage.
Any repairs will not be made until the end of May or possibly until mid-June, and if NDSA reports are not received as soon as possible, it is also unlikely that these obstacles will be included in the work this year.
