No state can match Telangana’s development

Nalgonda: Deputy Chief Minister Malu Bhatti Vikramarka asserted that no other Indian state can match the pace of Telangana’s development. Bhatti laid the cornerstone for the 33/11 KV substation at the Integrated Regional Office (IDOC) in Kothagudem on Saturday, and Bhatti said a new era in Telangana has begun and Congress has come to power.
He announced that the state government will soon launch the Indira Solar Tribal Water Development Program to enable tribal communities to live with self-esteem without losing the forest. The ambitious plan, officially launched in the Nagarkurnool region on Monday, will cover the entire Godavari Basin from Adilabad to Bhadrachalam and parts of the Krishna Basin. The government will spend Rs 1,250 crore on the scheme without any financial burden.
As part of the plan, holes will be drilled and solar systems will be installed. Drip and sprinkle irrigation systems will be introduced and horticultural crops such as avocado and bamboo will be promoted with the support of the Horticultural Department.
Bhatti highlighted Telangana’s power sector achievements, saying that uninterrupted electricity was provided even during record electricity demand. He reminded the party that it was Congress that initially provided free agricultural electricity for Telangana, not KCR. He noted that despite the last government’s failure to cope with 15,000 MW demand in 2023-24, the current government reached 17,162 MW without any disruption in the peak demand in March, even in Manchester United’s history of Andhra Pradesh.
He said the government will continue to use heat, solar, Haidel and wind energy and aim to produce 20,000 megawatts of green energy. He scanned former leaders and said: “Those who spent ten years hanging out in farmhouses and wasting public money are now making reckless statements because they can’t tolerate the pace of progress.”
Barty said Telangana has witnessed overall development in fields such as IT, Pharma, Power, Health, Health, House and Felfare. He stressed that the visible development would be the government’s response to the unfounded criticism of former rulers who abused public funds and had been ineffective for a decade.
He also revealed that a special monitoring system was established in Delhi to track central funding and development plans. Members of MP Telangana have been in discussions with the union minister and the governor will follow up soon to ensure the support needed. He praised the efforts of the MPs and said all the necessary data had been provided by the state government.
Speaking about the state’s logistical challenges, he noted that the lack of seaports in Tlangana province means reliance on roads. The feasibility of inland navigation using the Godavari River will be studied. “If feasible, this matter will be resolved with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.”
Minister of Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao also spoke at the event, saying that the comprehensive development of the Bhadadri-Kothagudem district (rich people with coal resources) requires the development of roads, railways, aviation, air and water transport systems simultaneously.
He urged MLAs from Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem regions to speed up land acquisitions in the Canal of the Sithalama Weightlifting Program in their constituency. He added that the chief minister approved the proposal of collectors in the region to establish a Geoscience University in the region and said that the university’s engineering will begin soon.
