Raj Gopal Reddy saw the Senior Meeting. Leader blocks his cabinet wishes

Nalgonda: Congress MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy from Munugode claimed on Sunday that senior party leaders, including former minister K. Jana Reddy, were posing a barrier to secure cabinet positions.

Raj Gopal Reddy spoke in the media after attending the sworn in by the Chityal Agricultural Market Committee, claiming that Jana Reddy, who served as minister during his tenure, failed to represent the representatives from Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts. Raj Gopal Reddy digs ironically into the senior leaders, “Now, he raises the meaning of these regions, which is ironic.”

He further accused some leaders of their actions like The Blind King of Moab Bharata, which prevented him from working to obtain a cabinet berth.

Defending the need for a cabinet role, Raj Gopal Reddy questioned: “What are the problems with the two brothers in the cabinet when cricketers such as Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan represent India together?”

He clarified that although he was not the one who chased the post, the widespread political climate forced him to call on senior party commanders to take on cabinet roles. “The position of minister is not a crown, but a responsibility to serve the people,” he said, adding that competence should be the key criterion for choice.

Meanwhile, support for Raj Gopal Reddy comes from other MLAs in the former Nalgonda area.

Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham expressed his willingness to sign up for the inclusion of Raj Gopal Reddy, calling him the leader who integrates politics and social services. He said the Congress government will become stronger with Raj Gopal Reddy in the cabinet.

Bhongir Mla Khumbam Anil Kumar responded to the sentiment, noting that Raj Gopal Reddy enjoyed support from several MLAs from the Nalgonda area and beyond and got a place in the state’s cabinet.
