Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) asserted that it neither encroached on the land of the University of Hyderabad (UOH) nor disrupted existing bodies of water or rock formations on the 400 acres of land in Kancha Gachibowli in the Rangareddy area of the Langriddi region.

In fact, TGIIC has prepared a layout to properly preserve rock formations, including mushroom rocks, as the green space in it. The detailed environmental master plan is also ready to ensure sustainable development in the region.

Company officials said the 400 acres of land had been allocated to IMG Academies Bharata Pvt. The Co., Ltd. developed the sports facilities in 2004 and resumed in 2006 as the project of IMG Academies Bharata did not take off. This has led to the issue a long legal battle between the High Court and the Supreme Court, which passed an order supporting the government after 18 years. UOH is not a defendant throughout the legal struggle.

The deputy collector of the end of unity, Mandal, confirmed that the land was recorded as “Kancha Athabal Poramboke Sarkari”, government land, not forest land, according to the income record. It has not been encroached on, and under further developments owned by the government.

The government also conducted an investigation on July 19 last year with the consent of the UOH registrar, fixing the boundaries of the land.

The government then issued a proposal request on February 28 this year to select a transaction consultation to optimize the master plan for the 400-acre comprehensive development and provide assistance at auction like past developments. Officials said the project aligns with government priorities to develop world-class infrastructure, improve connectivity and create sustainable urban space.
