North Korea’s Kim Jong oversees air exercises, calling for greater war preparations

According to KCNA, Kim conducted an inspection on Thursday on the North Korean Air Department’s first air department.
North Korean analyst Hong Min at the North Korean National Unification Institute said exercises by North Korea’s state television showed a MIG-29 jet that appeared to be the North Korean version of Russia’s developed central to long-range air missiles.
So far this month, Kim has overseen missile testing, inspected tank and ammunition factories, visited the Russian Embassy in Pyongyang, reaffirmed the country’s alliance with Russia, and supervised tank shooting exercises and special operations department training.
North Korea also criticized the U.S. State Department for placing it on a list of countries that do not cooperate fully with the U.S. counterterrorism efforts. South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency said Pyongyang is listed every year.
“The United States has aroused North Korea’s excitement with its unnecessary and inefficient malicious behavior, which will increasingly escalate irreconcilable hostility between North Korea and the United States,” a spokesperson for the North Korean Foreign Ministry said. “North Korea will… take effective and appropriate measures to deal with hostile provocations in various fields.”
