Northern Railways will operate special trains between Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi, details

In view of the Pahargan terrorist attacks in the Anatnag region of Jamu and Kashmir on Tuesday, the Northern Railway has announced special trains from the region to New Delhi and other parts of the country. North Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay announced a new special train operation from the valley.
“The Northern Railway is operating special trains to provide more facilities for tourists and passengers in Jamu and Kashmir,” Upadhyaya said. He also said the trains will be operated on April 23. “In this series, the first train is 04612, which will depart from Katra Station (SVDK) at 9:20 pm and will arrive at Chamu at 11:00 pm, which will arrive at New Delhi Station (NDLS) at 9:00 AM the next morning.

Udhampur (MCTM): Arrival at 9:48 PM and depart at 9:50 PM
– Jamu Tawi (JAT): Arrival at 11:00 pm and depart at 11:05 pm
– Pathankot Cant (PTKC): Arrival at 12:45 AM, departure at 12:50 AM
– Jalandhar Cantt (JRC): Arrival at 2:45 AM and depart at 2:50 AM
-Dhandari Kalan (DDL): Arrival at 4:00 AM, departure at 4:10 AM
– Ambala Cant (UMB): Arrival at 5:25 am and depart at 5:35 am
-Kurukshetra Junction (KKDE): Arrived at 6:10 am and departed at 6:12 am
– Panipat Junction (PNP): Arrival at 7:10 am and depart at 7:12 am
The train will have 18 coaches, including 7 regular coaches, 8 sleeper class coaches and 3 air conditioning coaches.
Many pilgrims who come to visit the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine or plan to come say this horror forced them to change their minds. The social media users on X expressed a similar view and said: “I plan to visit Vaishno Devi, but now, after today’s event, I don’t think I’m going to go to Jaimu and Kashmir. If I’m still alive, I’ll visit many other temples.”
