Speaker Vijender Gupta says

Bhubaneswar: Seven high-level delegations of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which visited the Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) from April 15 to 17, expressed satisfaction with the paperless operation of the house and the operating benefits of the National E-Vidhan Application (NEVA).

The delegation led by Delhi Parliament Speaker Vijender Gupta held extensive discussions with Ola Speaker Surama Padhy, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and senior House officials to gain a deeper understanding of the seamless operation of the Parliament. The team also includes Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, showing a strong interest in understanding the successful implementation of NEVA in Odisha.

“During the visit, we learned a lot about the paperless process of the Legislative Assembly in Odisha. Here the benefits of experienced officials to NEVA, especially in connecting legislatures across the country and achieving exchanges of best practices. We are eager to adopt the Odisha model in the legislative assembly in Delhi,” Speaper Guijender Guender Guender Guender Vijender Guender vitpta.

The DLA delegation has asked the OLA spokesman to send a team of NEVA experts and officials to help replicate Odisha models in Delhi.

“We came here to learn from the digital legislative process in Odisha,” Gupta added.

Other members of the delegation included Delhi Parliament Secretary Ranjit Singh and Finance Officer Gurinder Singh. Odisha Legislative Assembly Secretary Satyabrata Rout facilitated the team’s engagement with various special functions and facilities in the House.

Speaker Gupta also confirmed his commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Digital India” and “Go Green” initiatives. He announced that the Delhi Parliament will soon install a 500 kV solar power system with zero energy costs. The transition to paperless operations, the transition to NEVA implementation and the Green Initiative is expected to be completed by July.
