Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Sunday (April 20, 2025) that the alliance between the dominant Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] Biharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is “opportunism” and claims Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has changed the side Kursi (Chair).

Mr. Kahage announced a rally at Jai Bhim’s Jai Samvidhan at Dalsagar Stadium in Buxar, urging the people of the state to expel the NDA government in a convention poll that will be listed later this year.

“The alliance between Nitish Kumar and the BJP is opportunistic. It is not good for the people of the country. Nitish Kumar Kursi (CM’s post). The president of Congress said the head of JD (U) worked hand in hand with the ideology that killed Mahatma Gandhi. ”

He also asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to provide Bihar with a Rs 122.5 crore package and accused the Prime Minister of running a “liar factory”. Mr Harg claimed: “Bihar people must ask Nitish Kumar Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who promised to provide Bihar with a package of Rs 1.25 crore, what did he do on August 18, 2015? Modi Ji is running a factory for lies.”

He said the NDA government must be removed in a congress poll held in Bihar, adding: “People should vote for the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ party in the next state election.

In the latest charges by the Enforcement Bureau (ED) against Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mr Kharge said: “This is a goal against Congress. Our leaders cannot be afraid.

The Congress director also claimed that the RSS and the BJP “do not support the welfare of the disadvantaged classes in society.”

He claimed: “They oppose the poor, women and the weaker classes of society…they (RSS-BJP) cannot consider improving society. They believe in a society based on caste and religion to split society.” He claimed: “The WAQF (Amendment) Act passed by the Parliament is a conspiracy to create divisions between the BJP and the RSS.”
