A Mississippi mother lost her third child in four years after her six-year-old daughter was found dead in a bucket at home.
Gracelynn Vick reportedly disappeared on April 13, when her family couldn’t find her for hours after she was playing in her yard on Sofur farm.
After six hours of search surgery, the body of the young girl was found in a 58-gallon barrel for livestock.
Harrison County Sheriff’s Department Deputies believe Gracelynn crawled into the bin and closed the lid from the inside – accidentally capturing himself.
Police say the combination of hypoxia and thermal stress has led to her weird death.
During a press conference Thursday, the sheriff compared the situation to what was trapped in a stuffy car.
Police explained that they were able to use evidence from home security cameras to find Gracelynn’s body.
Investigators do not believe any foul play is involved and the final report on the cause of death of a child will be released in the coming months, KWTX Report.

Gracelynn’s obedience reads: “She is immersed in the wonders of her childhood, embracing every moment with passion.”
“She likes to play outdoors barefoot, admire the feeling of grass under her feet, climb to new heights, and explore the world around her.
“Her love for animals, painting rocks and splashing in the water, painted a picture of a little girl, she was curious and she was very creative. ”
A funeral for young girls was held on Monday.
Gracelynn’s gastrointestinal death is the death of two older siblings after they die under different circumstances.
In 2021, Gracelynn’s mother Vickie Lynn Wedgeworth suffered the first unimaginable loss of one of her children.
Larry Hart, 17, is Gracelynn’s half-brother and died on July 2, 2021. The teenager has been struggling with his current health, but according to his obsession, the cause of his death is not yet known.
Three years later, Wedgeworth experienced a second loss of losing his child, when an unexpected tragedy occurred.

Gracelynn’s 13-year-old half-sister Victoria Lee Hutcherson died in a car accident on March 14, 2024.
Her minivan, a passenger, was hit by a dump truck in Harrison County, Mississippi.
The van’s driver, John Potts, 68, also died of injuries. WLBT.
Victoria has a big family who loves her and misses her very much. According to her prosecutor, she spent many days riding a lawnmower on her grandmother’s farm and playing with her cousin.
“She loves animals and has a cunning sense of humor. She is happy to be the sister of her siblings and is very protective of them.
In addition to losing three children, Wedgeworth is also sad for his fiancé, who died on August 11, 2024 – Victoria passed away just a few months after Victoria.
Robert’Bo’Matula is a high school lover in Wedgeworth who “loves lawns, landscaping, woodworking and on the small farm he shares with Vickie and Gracelynn, the heritage farm in Gracelynn,” it itutuary said.
Wedgeworth’s sister Jackie Polk held a Facebook live broadcast on Friday to address false speculation about Gracelynn’s heartbreaking death.
