The dismissal report said that NRAI had withdrawn from the Open Network (ONDC), and the two entities reaffirmed their strong partnership in a joint statement.
“Our engagement with ONDC is ongoing. We are currently building a viable and scalable model and discussing it through ONDC’s Food Committee, which includes participation from all stakeholders such as restaurant owners and network participants and NRAI,” Sagar Daryani, President, President, NRAI.
Similarly, Marichi Mathur, Senior Vice President of ONDC, said: “We have been continuously interacting with NRAI and we are working to build an inclusive, transparent and interoperable network to empower restaurant and food brands of hundreds of thousands of restaurants and food brands to participate in digital commerce on their own.”
Mathur said such partnerships are crucial to driving food businesses of all sizes, from neighborhood media to national brands.
NRAI said its involvement with the ONDC network has always been rooted in the larger vision of enabling restaurants to participate in digital trade in a fair and transparent way.
As the network matures and its leadership develops, NRAI is staying aligned in ways that ensures the long-term value creation of its members.
