NTT data set up Rs 10,500 CR AI data center cluster for Hyderabad

Hyderabad: To accelerate India’s AI infrastructure, NTT Data and Neysa Networks signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Telangana government, establishing an AI data center cluster in Hyderabad on Friday and investing Rs 105,000 crore on Friday, NEYSA Networks signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU).
At a senior investment meeting in Tokyo, the Memorandum of Understanding was formally in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Hyderabad’s upcoming facility will feature a 400-megawatt data center cluster designed to host the country’s most powerful AI supercomputing infrastructure and has 25,000 GPUs. The project is in line with Telangana’s vision of becoming the AI capital of India, which provides sovereign, scalable and sustainable computing power to support public and enterprise AI workloads.
This collaboration combines NTT Data’s global data center leadership with NEYSA’s AI acceleration platform, allowing for the joint development of AI-First solutions and creating a vibrant innovation ecosystem anchored in Telangana.
The project will adopt cutting-edge cooling technologies such as liquid immersion and comply with the highest ESG standards through a mix of grids and renewable energy of up to 500 megawatts. The campus will also promote AI talent through partnerships with Telangana’s academic institutions and contribute to the state’s digital public infrastructure mission.
Revanth Reddy welcomes the large investments made by NTT Data and its partners, “Telangana provides policy stability, strategic location advantages, reliable and high-quality electricity, skilled talent, rapid licensing of single-window systems to promote critical AI infrastructure and become a state leader in AI-related digital services.” He said NTT’s investment announcement follows the recent large ticket data center projects of AWS, STT, Tillman Holdings and Ctrls and reaffirms Hyderabad’s key position as India’s leading data center hub.
