The Ukrainian Embassy in India said Russian missiles hit the warehouse of an Indian pharmaceutical company in Ukraine on Saturday (April 12, 2025).
In social media posts, the mission stated that Russia deliberately targeted Indian businesses in Ukraine despite claims of a “special friendship” with India.
“Today, Russian missiles hit the warehouse of Kusum, an Ukrainian Indian pharmaceutical company,” the Ukrainian embassy said.
It said in an article on X: “While claiming to establish a ‘special friendship’ with India, it is deliberately targeted to businesses in India.”
No further details about the strike were immediately provided.
Earlier, British ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris said that a Russian strike destroyed a major pharmaceutical warehouse in Kiev.
He said the attack was carried out by Russian drones.
“This morning, Russian drones completely destroyed a major drug warehouse in Kiev, incinerating the medicines needed by the elderly and children. Russia’s terrorist campaign against Ukrainian civilians continues,” Mr Harris said on X.
Kusum Healthcare said on its website that it exists in 29 countries, including Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Benin Coast, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ethiopia, Niger, Cameroon, Mali, Mali and Tanzania.
Over the past few days, Russia has slammed several targets in Ukraine despite the US ceasefire between Christianity and Moscow.
U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on Friday to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Saturday marked for a month since Russia refused to accept a full temporary ceasefire proposed by the United States
When Russia attacked Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha claimed that Russia was “the only obstacle to peace.”
Mr Sybiha, referring to the U.S. peace talks in Jeddah, said Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire proposal.
“Russia refuses to agree, but puts forward conditions and needs,” he said.
From March 11 to April 11, Russia opened fire on Ukraine nearly 70 missiles of various types, more than 2,200 Shahed drones and more than 6,000 navigating aircraft bombs.
“These are Russia’s responses to the peace proposal,” Sibiha said.
