Tamil Nadu government re-appoints its additional supporters in general

The Tamil Nadu government has re-appointed its additional advocate (AAG) on the main seat of the Madras High Court and on the Madurai bench of the High Court. Senior lawyer M. Ajmal Khan should now be designated AAG-I under the Government Order (GO) issued on Tuesday.

As per the GO, senior counsel Veera Kathiravan, Haja Nazirudeen, P. Kumaresan, R. Baskaran, J. Ravindran, R. Ramanlal, K. Chandramohan, M. Suresh Kumar, R. Neelakandan and advocate P. Muthukumar had been designed as AAGs II to XI respectively with Mr. Ravindran being given the additional charge of coordination between the government and the judiciary.

The GO also pointed out that in view of an advocacy General PS Raman made a recommendation in a letter to the government on February 21, 2025.
