Tesla sales have lowest rates in France and Sweden since 2021 against Elon Musk in protests to “removal of Tesla”

According to sales in France and Sweden by Elon Musk-owned electric vehicle companies, the third consecutive month of decline in March, the lowest sales in both countries since 2021.
Musk, the world’s wealthiest man and close aide to US President Donald Trump, has been contested for supporting the far-right party in Europe. This led to low sales of Tesla cars ahead of the much-anticipated launch of the new mid-size SUV, the report said.
Impact on global Tesla sales
According to analysts, France, Sweden and other important European markets are key indicators of Tesla’s global first-quarter delivery and consumer sentiment towards the brand.
In March, Tesla reported 3,157 car sales in France, with Sweden’s car sales of 911, down to 36.83% and 63.9% of the previous year. In addition, quarterly sales in France fell to 6,693, while Sweden fell 1,929.
The company’s market share fell to 1.63% in late March and lost ground from BYD and other Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers, with its total market share growing to 3.19%.
Tesla’s problem
Elon Musk’s electric car brand currently faces some challenges in Europe. Tesla’s product range is smaller than other automakers. In addition, Elon Musk is believed to have supported European far-right parties, including the national conservative party in Germany, and the German Alternative (AFD) has had an impact on Tesla’s sales.
“In the United States, strategy will be to connect with patriotism and move to the right,” Eric Schiffer, CEO of Los Angeles Private Equity, told Reuters.
He added: “European strategy will face greater challenges and requires more understanding of the value and competitive differences with the market there.”
Defeat Tesla protests
Tesla’s cars were damaged in many countries and in the planned evacuation protests throughout Europe and the United States, following Elon Musk’s support for right-wing parties. Musk informed Monday that an overnight fire at a Tesla store in Rome damaged 17 cars.
