On huddle, three generations of players compete in women's cricket matches in India

Hindu Huddle will be held in Bangalore on May 9 and 10.
Women's cricket has become extremely popular in India over the years. With the introduction of the women’s Premier League, the match has been one of the main highlights of the country’s women’s sports growth story.
In the 1970s, it was not easy to pursue their passion when a group of young women competed in cricket. But with determination and tenacity, they never give up. It was an unknown number for cricketers and government when the Women's Cricket Association of India (WCAI) was founded in Lucknow in 1973. The Blue Women played the first ODI during the 1978 World Cup football match – the same year WCAI was recognized by the International Women's Cricket Committee (IWCC).

However, despite its success in bilateral cricket, it took India more than thirty years to bring the attention of the international arena. This happened in the women's team's final in the 2005 World Cup final in South Africa. The board of directors takes care of the players and provides facilities, and India reaches the 2017 World Cup final. Even finishing second, it was a game-changing moment and helped the game get another boost in popularity.
exist Hindu The Huddle conference is titled “Borderless: Growth of Indian Women’s Cricket”, with India’s first women’s captain Shanta Rangaswamy and former BCCI APEX Council member; Mithali Raj, former Indian captain; Indian International and Royal Challenger Bangalore cricketer Shreyanka Patil will talk to us through the country’s journey of women’s cricket.
