The union cabinet will meet on Wednesday (April 30, 2025).
Several opposition leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi of Congress, have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking a parliamentary meeting to propose collective determination after the April 22 terrorist attack, killing 26 people, mainly tourists.

At the press conference, Mr Megwal slammed Akhilesh Yadav, chairman of Samajwadi party, and a photo was shown showing half of BR Ambedkar and the face of former Mr Yadav.
The BJP leader said the photo was an insult to Ambedka and was considered an architect and idol of the constitution, especially among the Dalits.
He said Mr Yadav “living in delusions” if he thought the photo would bring him a vote of the Dalits, noting that SP was an ally of Congress, which ensured Ambedkar’s defeat in both elections.
He said Congress also strongly opposed reservations to other backward classes when Rajiv Gandhi was the leader of the opposition.
Megwal said Mr Yadav was “sitting in the lane of parliament” and when he was chief minister, engineers in Uttar Pradesh were heavily demoted in Uttar Pradesh while Samajwadi party MPs tore up a bill aimed at promoting the community.
Mr Megwal also said that Congress directed its leaders to the upper toe party line in the Pahargan terrorist attack was a “double speech”.
Congress on Tuesday (April 29, 2025) asked its leaders not to speak out and stick to a party line that is terrorist attacks or faces disciplinary action after several controversial party staff issued controversial statements.
