Construction of the National Saras Mela and the “Ente Keralam” fair, which will be held from May 2 to 13, will be completed in Kozhikode Beach. The fair will be held mainly in two air-conditioned German hanger gazebos, near the beach Liberty Square, with each shed covering 45,000 square feet. Another 20,000 square foot gazebo is being built for food stalls and dining areas. Of the 50 food stalls, about 15 are from other states.
The fair will collectively house approximately 500 stalls for exhibitions, sales and services. Kudumbasree units from all over the state and self-help groups in other states will become part of Saras Mela. The cultural program will be held on the public stage every night.
The Ente Keralam Expo will feature state government achievements over the past 4 years. Modern technology, including virtual reality, has been used to keep department booths active. Services from each department will be provided in the pavilion at their respective kiosks. Part of the exhibition will be an exhibition of agricultural products, medicinal plants, rare animals, birds and dogs. In addition to daily seminars and discussions, there will be special areas of sports.
