Industry and Law Minister P. Rajeeve on Monday presented the ONV award presented by Kerala University literary critic MK Sanoo.
The ONV Award at Kerala University in 2021 was awarded to literary critic MK Sanoo for his valuable contribution to the literature and language of Malayalam on Monday. Minister of Industry and Law P. Rajeeve presented the award at Professor Kochi’s residence. The minister said Professor Sanoo’s work has stood the test of time and continues to resonate with a new generation. He said: “The ONV Award is not only a recognition of literary figures, but also a tribute to the legacy of Malayalam poetry and thoughtfulness. Professor Sanoo’s contribution not only makes the gradual ideal of the left a progressive ideal at the forefront, but also elevates Malayalam literature to the national platform.”
The award includes a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a citation and a plaque designed by artist Karakkamandapam Vijayakumar. In his acceptance speech, Professor Sanoo emphasized the importance of Onv Kurup in shaping the tradition of Malayalam literature and how poets’ contributions continue to be the benchmark for a new generation of writers and poets.
