Duvvada Madhava Rao Deepak, assistant general manager of Kims Bollineni Hospital, was arrested in local court Thursday and was arrested for sexual assault and criminal intimidation of a 23-year-old intern working in a pharmacy at the Rajamaha Draran Ram City Hospital.
On March 24, the victim, a native of the Eluru area, committed suicide by self-managing drugs while on duty at Kims Bollineni Hospital in his final year of B. Pharmacy. In suicide, she accused Mr. Deepak of sexual assault and intimidation.
According to police, the victim is undergoing a nine-month internship in the hospital. “The victim’s father filed a complaint and provided a diary for investigation. The defendant, Mr. Deepak, has been arrested and the investigation is underway,” South District DSP S. Bhavya Kishore said on Thursday.
According to police, the victim is still fighting for her life and her condition remains crucial.
