Woman accused of murdering her son, bidding to burn body near Hoyangpat

A 26-year-old man attacked his mother late Sunday night at Velampatti Village in Thathaiyangarpet Police Station, whose mother murdered him.
After a detailed inquiry, Haiyangarpet police arrested Selvi on Monday for killing his son B. Gopinath. Although from the Namakkal area, the two have been living in a farm house in the village of Velampatti.
While Selvi fell asleep inside, Gopinath slept in the crib outside his house. The woman told the villagers and their relatives that when she came out of her home late at night, she was injured on her neck and found her son in a burn.
Acting on information, The Haiyangarpet police inspected the crime scene and the body. As part of the investigation, science assistant and a detective dog were brought to the scene. The body was handed over to relatives after an autopsy was performed at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital in Tiruchi.
The case of BNS Section 103 (Murder) has been registered in the complaint of the village administrator in Mahadevi Village. During the investigation, Gopinath paid a huge amount in advance to sell his home in Namakkal. Gopinath used to spend money and consume wine in luxury.
A few days ago, a problem occurred between Gopinath and his mother. During the inquiry, the woman admitted that she was angry with her son because she had spent a lot of money on alcohol, attacked him with an axe and set his body on fire with kerosene.
