Operation Sindoor: Commercial flights suspended in northern India

Several airports in the north of the country were closed as India underwent a military strike at several points near the border with Pakistan in the early hours of Wednesday (7 May 2025).

Srinagar Airport was closed, according to airport officials.

Spicejet said in an article on X that other airports that are also closed are Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Dharamshala.

Air India said in a post about round trips to and from Chamu, Srinagar, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot that it was cancelled at 12pm on Wednesday.

In addition, Indigo said its flight from Bikaner was also affected.

Airlines inform their passengers on social media that they can hit the flight to set off and arrive and advise them to check their flight status and plan their air travel accordingly.

The flight tracking website also shows that there are no commercial flights in the Indian sky north of New Delhi.
