Operation Sindoor: Indian cities on Pakistani radar

India said on Thursday that its armed forces targeted air defense radars and systems at many locations in Pakistan. It was a day of targeted strikes in India’s terror camps against Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.From the evening of May 7 to 8, Pakistan launched a series of drone and missile attacks targeting military devices in northern and western India. The main targets include 15 cities – Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Chandigarh, Nal, Nal, Phalodi, Phalodi, Uttarlai and Bhuj.
“These are neutralized by the integrated anti-UAS grid and air defense systems. The debris of these attacks are now being recovered from many sites that prove the Pakistani attack,” the release said.
The government said that on May 8, 2025, the Indian armed forces targeted air defense radars and systems at many locations in Pakistan. “India’s reaction is in the same field as Pakistan,” the news said.

It further stated that Pakistan uses mortars and heavy artillery across the control line in areas of Kupuwara, Balamura, Uri, Pornchi, Mendhar, Mendhar and Rajiri fields to increase the intensity of its unprovoked shooting.


According to the latest statement, 16 people were lost due to Pakistan’s firing, including three women and five children. “Here, India is also forced to respond, causing pauses to bring mortars and artillery from Pakistan,” the government said. The Indian armed forces reiterated their intentions to avoid further escalation, but it is clear that it depends on the restrictions of the Pakistani army.
