“Operation sindoor” movie announcement sparked strong opposition, director apologized

New Delhi: A film in India’s recent military strike in Pakistan’s Sindoor operation sparked major controversy and rebound, prompting directors to apologize.

Director Uttam Maheshwari announced the film on social media, titled “Operation Sindoor”. The project will be produced by Nicky Vicky Bhagnani movie and content engineers.

The manufacturer also shared a poster with a woman soldier wearing combat equipment and holding a weapon. She was seen wearing Sindoor as her hair was separated, a red vermilion worn by married Hindu women.

The scene was set on the battlefield with explosions, barbed wire, military tanks and fighter jets on it.

India took a strike earlier on Wednesday at the horror sites in Pakistan and the horrors of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, under Operation Sindor, two weeks after 26 people massacred 26 people (mainly tourists) and Pahalgam in Kashmir.

The film’s announcement faces a rebound, with many social media users criticizing its timing.

One user criticized the film’s team and said it should be boycotted.

“They can succumb to such shame and disrespect for the country, and our soldiers of the armed forces sacrificed sweat and blood on the frontline. At this moment of crisis, it is not necessary at all!!!” the post added.

After criticism, Maheshwari’s past filmmakers are not clear about the past, and he apologized for his Instagram story.

“I apologize for the recent announcement of the film based on Operation Sindor, inspired by the recent heroic efforts of our Indian Armed Forces. The purpose will never hurt or inspire anybody’s emotions.

He wrote: “As a film producer, my courage, sacrifice and strength in soldier and leadership moved me and just wanted to bring this powerful story to the revelation. This project was born from deep respect and love for our country, not for fame and monetization.”

Maheshwari says he knows the timing of the movie may have caused

“Discomfort or pain”.

“I feel deeply sorry for this. It’s not only a movie, but also an emotion of the entire country and a global social image.”
