Orange alert for the northern region for two days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has placed several northern Kerala areas in orange alerts, isolated to very heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod were in an orange alarm, while the yellow alarm had sent out heavy rains isolated for Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kottayam and Alappuzha.
Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod were at Orange Alert on Tuesday. Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta have been placed at the yellow alarm.
The IMD reiterated that, around May 22, under the influence of the high-altitude loop cycle on May 22, under the influence of the air circulation on May 21, the Arabian Sea near the coast of Karnataka is likely to form a low-pressure area.
In a special announcement on Sunday, the IMD said the low pressure zone is expected to move northward and intensify. The Meteorological Bureau further stated that it would facilitate further advancement of the southwestern monsoon in the Southern Arabian Sea and more areas in the southern, central and northeastern Gulf of Bengal.
