Temperatures in Odisha increase, jharsuguda hottest at 43.5 Celsius

With the onset of thunder therapy in Odisha, daily temperatures in the state rose on Sunday as Jharsuguda in the western region was the hottest at 43.5 degrees Celsius. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its evening weather announcement that the maximum temperature in up to 11 places across the state is at 40 degrees Celsius or above 40 degrees Celsius.
Bolangir is the second at 42.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Titilagarh (42), Sambalpur (41.9), Sundergarh (41.8), Boudh (41.5), Hirakud and Sonepur (Hirakud and Sonepur (41.3)
Although Bhubaneswar recorded a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius, Cuttack recorded a 40.1 degree Celsius.
“The maximum temperature will not change much over the next three days, and the state will witness a gradual rise of 2-4 degrees Celsius,” IMD said.
In its forecast on Monday, the IMD said the thunderstorm and gusts of winds had a speed of 30-40 kmph, which is likely to occur in the afternoon or evening in certain areas of the Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur, Nawarangapur and Rayagada areas.
