Pahalgam attack: India suspends Indian Water Treaty, closes Waga-Tali border, cancels visa; government’s best decision

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced measures such as the suspension of the Indian Water Treaty after the Pahalgam attack when introducing the media to the Cabinet Security Committee led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Wednesday, the day after the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Security Committee (CCS), which lasted for more than two hours.
PM Modi shortened a two-day Saudi Arabia visit following the Pahalgam terrorist attack and returned to Delhi on Wednesday morning.
“Lok Kalyan Marg chaired a meeting at CCS after the terrorist attack in Pahargam,” Prime Minister Modi said in an article on X.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Foreign Affairs Minister Jaishankar attended the meeting.
