Indian diplomatic missions in Shanghai and Guangzhou held condolences to commemorate Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Members of the Indian diaspora joined the consulate officials to express their grief and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the victims' families.

At the Consul General of India in Shanghai, Consul General Pratik Mathur, as well as consulate officials, staff, Indian friends and diaspora members led the party to express their condolences to the party.

Similarly, the Indian Consulate in Guangzhou organized a condolence meeting to pay tribute to the victims of the Pahargam terrorist attacks in Chamu and Kashmir on April 22, 26 of whom were killed (mainly tourists).

“The sombre gathering included over 60 members of the Indian diaspora, Consulate officials and their family members, as well as friends of India. Although the long 'Labour Day' holidays, participants across various regions, faiths, languages ​​and age groups joined in solidarity to condemn the heinous act and stand in unity against terrorism. Many people also joined virtually to pay their taxes,” the Guangzhou Consulate posted on X on Friday.

It said that Consul General Shambhu Hakki, speaking at the party, introduced them to the tragic event.

The mission said: “Participants also watched video clips of human stories about the tragic events and expressed heartfelt prayers to the victims and their families by providing flower tributes, and wrote messages in the “consolation book” opened by the consulate.”

Terrorists opened fire in Pahalgam on April 22, killing 26 people, and in the deadliest attacks in the valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike. The Resistance Front (TRF), the representative of Pakistan's banned Lashkar-ee-Taiba (LET), who claimed responsibility for the attack.
