Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: Diplomatic Actions Taken, India’s Military Choice Range Is Revenge on Pakistan | India News

Consequences of the Pahalgam attack: With support from India on dozens of countries that have been attacked by the Pahalgam terrorist attacks and countries from around the world providing support to New Delhi, the Narendra Modi government is now considering a series of military options for retaliation against Pakistan. While many BJP leaders have assured that a military response is inevitable, negotiations are being conducted on the type of response and its timing. Union Minister Hardeep Puri said India will give appropriate answers, and it is only a matter of days.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India will hunt down terrorists and their masters to the end of the earth. As the opposition has supported the government in any action, it is likely to be a military response along with diplomatic actions. Indian troops are also conducting a large-scale hunt for terrorists in Kashmir. So far, the Army has demolished the houses of seven local terrorists.

India is reportedly considering a variety of options, including the option of not requiring Indian security forces to cross the border for strikes. India launched a similar strike in Balakot in 2019, when precise guided bombs were discarded at Pakistan’s terror hideouts without troops crossing the border.

Over the past five years, Indian troops have modernized their fleets and weapons and are considering targeting terrorists on the Indian side of the border.

General DS Hooda, former general official of the Northern Command, told Indian Express that India has an existing option – ground operations and air strikes. “At this stage, I’m not going to completely rule out military options,” Hooda said.

Retired Army officers say India has attack drones that can attack inside Pakistan from the Indian side of the Line of Control. It is worth noting that India conducted a surgical strike in 2016 across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
