Sir Said Academy politically motivated: iuml Kannur Regional Head

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) accuses Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Communist Party of India (Marxism) [CPI(M)] Politicizing the land dispute at Said Academy, alleging that attempts to blame IUML are driven by ulterior motives.

Iuml Kannur District President Abdul Kareem Cheleri said the issue related to the paperwork errors in the legal documents regarding the university’s name change was the unnecessarily prolonging political achievements.

“The CPI(M) and the Chief Minister fished in troubled waters by portraying the alliance as land looters,” he said in a statement.

Mr Cheleri clarified that the Cannanore Regional Muslim Education Association (CDMEA), which runs the college, has made an execution decision to correct errors in the affidavit through legal channels.

“There is no ambiguity. The land is WAQF property. The issue will be resolved by correcting the affidavit filed in the court,” he said.
