Pahalgam's “sindoor” Bharat responds to the brutal killing: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) that the “Operation Sindor” was Bharat's reaction to the brutal killing of innocent people in Pahargam.
Mr. Shah's remarks follow a missile strike by Indian armed forces against nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold in Bahawarpur, and the Lashkar-e-Mohammad stronghold. The strike was coded as “Operation sindoor”.
The Union Home Minister said the Modi government was determined to respond appropriately to any attack on India and its people, and Bharat remained firmly committed to eliminating terrorism from its roots.

India's strike was in response to the April 22 terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahargam in Kashmir, where 26 people were killed.
