Pahalgam terrorist attack: tribute to victims
A government release from the government learned that the Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindor on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) which attacked terrorism infrastructure in Pakistan and attacked terrorism in Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir. Nine locations in the attack were targeted.
This comes after at least 26 people died in the Pahalgam attack on April 22.
Sameer Guha (52)'s widow Sarbari Guha shared a similar view, saying the action was the right move. “I don't know if they can catch the people who are under terrorist attacks. But what happened to us we can never forget this life, and this sadness will never end.”

Compare emotions
Purnam Kumar Sahu, the wife of the BSF soldier, is held by Pakistani forces, but the emotions are contrasting. Mr. Sahu was captured on April 23 at the Punjab border.
Pregnant Rajni Sahu is full of hope on Tuesday and her husband may return soon. She also visited Pathankot's BSF camp. But after the attack began, Ms. Sahu said she lost hope that he would be returned.
“The war started when my husband was in Pakistan. I think that in my husband's case after that, there might not be anything positive. She said no one was listening to her and trying to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
