Srinagar: Officials said Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire on Saturday at the Line of Control (LOC) of URI and GUREZ departments.
They said Pakistani forces targeted Charunda and Hatlanga areas in the Uri department of the Balamura region of North Kashmir.
Officials said they also violated the ceasefire in the Bagtor region of Gures in Bandibora, North Kashmir.
According to officials, heavy shelling is underway in these places. However, there have been no reports of any loss of life so far.

A woman was killed and two family members were injured in heavy artillery shells in the Balamula and Kupwara regions on Friday.
