Pakistan closes key airports for 48 hours after India Operation Sindoor Operation: Report

Pakistan has reportedly closed major airports across the country for 48 hours in response to India's operations Operation Sindoor, a coordinated military strike targeting nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir (POJK).According to sources cited by the ANI, the Indian armed forces successfully attacked nine terrorist targets – in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Muridek and Sialkot, and five in Poyk, using precise guidance munitions. The operation is a joint effort of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, involving a wide range of mobilization of troops and assets. These strikes are intended to eliminate the top leaders of Jaish-e-Mohammed (Jem) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let), both responsible for planning terrorist activities in India.
Pakistan has reportedly closed its airspace and suspended operations at several airports, including Islamabad International Airport.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Council, scheduled to be held on Wednesday morning. Sharif condemned India's strike in an official statement, calling it an “act of war.”

“Pakistan has the right to respond strongly to this act of war committed by India and has indeed received a strong response,” Sharif said. “The Pakistani state and the Pakistani armed forces are very familiar with how to deal with the enemy. We will never allow the enemy to succeed in achieving its evil goals.”
