Pakistan Cricket Board of Directors 5 Domestic Team Tutors, including Waqar Younis and Misbah UL Haq to participate in the Champions League

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday removed all five mentors appointed as the domestic team in the first edition of the Champions Day Cup.

In its latest move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) removed all five mentors appointed as the domestic team in the first edition of the Champions Day Cup. These mentors include Waqar Younis, Misbah ul Haq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik and Saqlain Mushtaq. PCB has asked these former cricketers to serve as mentors with their respective domestic teams, while also being allowed to take on media roles and other tasks.

The mentors reportedly paid Rs 5 million a month. “Obviously, in the briefing, the consensus was that there was no reasonable reason for the money spent on mentors because they have not provided anything of value until now,” the source said.

Sources added that those attending the conference were not satisfied with Malik’s insistence on participating in the national T20 title and leading Sialkot instead of focusing on his work.

PSL restart date

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Premier League (PSL) will also restart in the 10th season that will cease on May 17. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi got his X handle and announced the news, writing: “HBL PSL X is taken from where it stopped. 6 teams, 0 fears. Be prepared for 8 exciting matches starting May 17 until the finals on May 25. Good luck to all teams.”
