The Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) objected to growing speculation, tweeting a collective photo from Abbottabad Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sitting at General Munier. The title of the tweet is:

“Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief of Staff Syed Asim Munir (NIM), an officer of PMA Kakul, in a group photo of the graduation officers of Abbottabad PMA Kakul’s 151st long-term course. April 26, 2025.”

This step is interpreted as an effort to prove that Munir is still active and on duty.
