Pakistani government shuts airspace for all commercial flights at Islamabad airport Lahore

Lahore: In late night development on Wednesday, the Pakistani government has closed airspace for all its commercial flights at Lahore and Islamabad airports. “The country's airspace has been closed for all commercial flights at Lahore and Islamabad airports,” the Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) said in a statement Wednesday night. However, Karachi Airport is operating. Pakistan announced earlier Wednesday that 48 hours of airspace was announced in all air traffic following India's military attacks on Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The PAA said it has officially communicated its focus to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which poses a “serious risk” to civil aviation safety for India's “restrained and provocative actions”.
Indian armed forces conducted a missile strike on nine terrorist targets in Pakistan earlier on Wednesday, in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindor.
