India-Pakistan conflict: The U.S. president said on Saturday that India and Pakistan have agreed to a “full and direct” ceasefire after tensions have escalated for several days.

The U.S. president said in a post about the Truth Society that he agreed to a ceasefire after a lengthy talks mediated by the United States, India and Pakistan.

“After a long talk mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries on their use of common sense and great wisdom. Thank you for your attention on this matter!” he wrote.
