Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday (May 15, 2025) that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons should be under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency because they are not safe in such a rogue state because they are not safe in such a rogue state.
The comments from the Defense Minister came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India will not tolerate Pakistan’s “nuclear blackmail” and will severely punish cross-border terrorism.

Shortly after he landed in Srinagar on his first trip to Chamu and Kashmir since Operation Singh said how India’s determination toward terrorism was measured because it did not even pay for Pakistan’s nuclear extortion.
“The world has seen the nuclear threat Pakistan has posed to India many times,” he said.
“Today, from the land of Srinagar, I want to raise this question all over the world: Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue state?” asked Mr. Singh.
He added: “I think Pakistan’s nuclear weapons should be taken under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Operation Sindor is India’s biggest action against terrorism: Rajnath
The Defense Minister described the Sindor operation as the “largest” action taken by India in terrorism history.
“For the past 35-40 years, India has been facing terrorism that has crossed from its borders. Today, India has made it clear to the world that we can oppose terrorism to any extent,” he said.
Try to damage India’s forehead and break the country’s social unity through terrorist attacks in Pahalgam.
“They attacked India’s forehead and our chest was wounded,” he said.
He added: “The only way to heal Pakistan’s wounds is to stop asylum against anti-Indian and terrorist groups without allowing their land to be used against India.”
“Pakistan sells India”
Mr Singh recalled when Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Pakistan 21 years ago, Singh said Pakistan announced that terrorism would no longer be exported from the soil.
He said: “But Pakistan has betrayed India and is still betraying it.
Mr Singh said Prime Minister Modi had clearly redefined India’s policy on terrorism, which said that any terrorist attack on Indian soil would be considered an “act of war.”
“The understanding that has been formed between the two countries is that no unnecessary action will be taken throughout the border,” he said.
“If any action is taken, then this matter will go further. What follows is that our Prime Minister also made it clear that terrorism and negotiations will not go together, and if negotiations will be conducted, it will be about terrorism and POK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir).”
Terrorists are not “safe anywhere”
Mr Singh said the success of the Singhor operation has made it clear to the terrorist organizations hiding in Pakistan and its owners that they should not think they are safe anywhere.
“Now they are the target of Indian troops. The world knows that our troops have an accurate target, and when they target, they leave the counted missions to the enemy.”
He said he pointed to Pakistan’s IMF loan and said, “As for Pakistan, what can I say to you. Due to the ignorance of begging begging, this country has reached such a state, and it can be said that no matter where on the shelf of Pakistan, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging, the line of begging
“On the other hand, today, our countries fall into the category of those countries that lend to the IMF so that the IMF can lend to poor countries,” the Defense Minister said.
Hailing the defence forces, he said, “As Defence Minister, I have had the opportunity to know you all very closely. I know your courage and valour, and at the same time I know your anger towards incidents like Pahalgam. I know that after Pahalgam, there was anger inside you, there was anger inside the whole country. I know how it feels when the blood flowing in the arteries starts getting out of control”.
He added: “And I am also glad you provided the right direction for your anger and avenged you Pahalgam with great courage and wisdom.”
India conducted a precise strike on the terrorist infrastructure earlier on May 7, after which Pakistan attempted to attack Indian military bases on May 8, 9 and 10.
