Another Nepali student found dead at Kiit University, the country's envoy responds to Indian news

On Thursday, a student from Nepal was found hanging in a hotel room on the university campus, police said. According to news agency IANS, the deceased was identified as Prisha Shah, a first-year B.Tech computer science student, reportedly from the Birgunj area of ​​Nepal.

After being informed, the Chief of the Bhubaneswar Police Station, the Deputy Police Officer, the Deputy Police Commissioner and other senior police officers, as well as Infocity Police Staff, immediately arrived at the scene and began an investigation into the suspected death of the Nepali female student.

The body of the deceased has been taken to AIIMS in Bhubaneswar for a postmortem, which is scheduled to be held on Friday after the family arrives. “A student, a student who was alone in the room at the time of attendance, did not respond. When university officials checked, she was found hanging. We were told that we were here and investigating it,” Ians quoted police chief S. Dev Datta Singh as saying.

He further noted that the scientific team also arrived at the hotel and was searching for the room of the deceased for evidence. Singh noted that all the hotel students had confidence in the police and were working together in the investigation.

The police chief told media personnel that an investigation has begun after registration of unnatural death cases in this regard because no complaints were filed for allegations of fouls in the case.

He said action will be taken if anyone is involved in the suspicious death of Nepal students.

“We have been questioning other girls in the hotel to determine if the deceased shared anything with any of them and showed any suspicious symptoms. We have spoken with officials from the Nepal embassy, ​​which also informed the deceased's family. Her parents will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Friday morning.” He claimed that the situation on campus was normal due to students' confidence in the neutrality of the police investigation.

Sources from the Commissioner Police told IANS that the deceased's students were under severe mental stress due to tensions in their relationship with their boyfriend, who lives in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

On February 16, Nepali female student Prakriti Lamsal committed suicide, followed by attacks by security guards from private educational institutions on other Nepali students.
