The political atmosphere in Punjab is still flooding on Tuesday (April 15, 2025) with rhetoric surrounding the state’s alleged “grenade bombs” as key political parties are involved in a showdown on security-sensitive issues.

Congressional workers and leaders held a demonstration in Mohali in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar area to conduct a FIR against the ruling AAM AADMI Party (AAP), even as Mr Bajwa appeared in Mohali in Mohali to investigate. They claim that FIR targeted Congress for its motivation for “political vendetta”.

AAP leaders and workers also held protests condemning Mr. Bajwa’s remarks. Aman Arora, president of AAP Punjab, said: “The unfounded statement of Bajwa is that about 50 grenades entering Punjab is an attempt to cause panic and disturb peace under the leadership of the AAP government.”

Mr. Bajwa is related to the case. On April 13, the Punjab police conducted FIR registration of Mr. Bahiva (false and misleading information that endangers the sovereignty and solidarity of the state) and 353(2) (misrepresentation aimed at causing Bharatiya Nyayaya Sanhita (Bharatiya Nyaya sanhita) (Bharatiya Nyaya sanhita) (Bharatiya Nyaya sanhita (Bharatiya)) (bharatiya nymity and Charred and therred).

Although both Congress and AAP demonstrated each other, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sad) described their politics as “fixed matches” and “drama”.

Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia accused AAP and Congress of colluding with each other to indulge in the “drama” of speech rather than working to improve the state’s legal and order status. “The fact is that the AAP and the Parliament are members of the Indian Union. Both sides compete against each other for the parliamentary elections and mayoral elections in Chandigarh.

Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar claimed that the AAP and Congress had a “fixed match” on sensitive issues and “pushed Punjab on the brink of chaos” by showing cheap politics.
