Passengers caught by 36 exotic reptiles at Mumbai Airport

Customs officials occupied 36 exotic reptiles from a passenger who landed at Mumbai International Airport from Bangkok and arrested him. These included 28 live streams, two dead orange dragons and six white iguanas.
An official said the passenger noticed unusual movements in his schoolbag during the scan and was stopped by officials on Sunday night. A forest department official said the wildlife rescue team from RAWW (Resqiink Wildlife Welfare Association) was called to seek consignment of goods, identify and care for the species until further action began.
Officials added that wildlife crime control has issued an order to expel live reptiles under the 1972 Wildlife Conservation Act and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
