Pat Cummins, Travis returns to the remaining IPL 2025? This is what we know so far

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be suspended for nearly a week on May 17. Several overseas players have had their names earlier on the rounds and they may not return if IPL 2025 will soon recover.

As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be restored in the ongoing 18th season, all franchises have reassembled their domestic and international players to compete in the upcoming league and playoffs. However, several overseas players have names toured on social media and they say they may not return for the rest of IPL 2025. Among these names are Sunrisers Hyderabad players Pat Cummins and Travis Head, who return for the rest of IPL 2025.
Now, according to Espncricinfo, Cummins and Head are expected to rejoin the SRH squad before the IPL 25 recovery on May 17. Earlier this month, the 18th edition of the cash-rich coalition was suspended due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. On Monday, BCCI cleared the air by confirming that the IPL will resume in Bangalore on Saturday.
Cummins and Head were named on Tuesday morning in the Australian roster that began taking part in the World Exam Championship final against South Africa on June 11. Considering Hyderabad has been dominated by the playoffs.
According to Espncricinfo, Hyderabad Captain Cummins and Head have informed SRH of their decision to fly back to India. Cummins manager Neil Maxwell confirmed that the Australian Test Captain hopes to return to India.
“Pat has the responsibility to be the captain of the franchise and is considering returning,” Maxwell told News Corp on Tuesday. Cricket Australia’s head of national team Ben Oliver promised that the board will work hard to work with the players and decide to return to India or not in the next two days.
For the unproven case, SRH has managed to get only three of the 11 games so far and ranks eighth. As the team has been eliminated from the playoffs, it will face three away games against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 19, against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 23, against Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) on May 23, and against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 25.
