Two people were arrested on Sunday in connection with an online cricket betting operation in Palakollu town of West Godavari district.
Speaking at a press conference, Deputy Director of Police D. Sriveda said they caught the defendant after Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad excavated the betting operation. “The defendants have been identified as M. Venkata Rao and Y. Venkata Murali, belonging to the town of Palakollu. Two laptops, 10 cell phones and a car have been seized,” DSP said. Police have registered a case and the investigation is underway.
