Pawan Kalyan resumes OG and budget soars to Rs 24 billion?

After Hari Hara Veera Mallu ends, superstar Pawan Kalyan returns to his much-anticipated action thriller “OG”. Sources said the film’s budget has been greatly upgraded due to production delays, and now it has reached a staggering Rs 24 billion, up from its initial estimate of Rs 2 million. This makes OG one of the most expensive movies in Pawan Kalyan’s career.
“Phawan has 20 working days left in the film since he finished his work before the Andhra Pradesh election, and now he returns after becoming deputy chief minister,” a source revealed. “The increase in the budget is mainly due to delays in shooting and revised production requirements.”
Earlier, the flag behind DVV Entertainment (OG), headed to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a BTS photo with the title: “Malli Modhalaindi….eeesaari Mugiddaaam…#og #og #theycallhimog #firestormiscomcoming.” Fans responded enthusiastically, with comments like “Fire Explosion Attack” and “The Original Mafia Back” expressing excitement about the film’s revival after a temporary pause due to Kalyan’s political commitment.
Directed and written by Sujeeth, OG performed Pawan Kalyan as the mysterious Ojas Gambheer in a tough gangster narrative. Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi plays rivals with the actors. “This is made as a pan-Indian film due to the universal appeal of gangster drama. It is a key part of the strategy to recoup large-scale investments,” the source added. “Pawan’s character is strongly layered, but the film also blends romantic and affectionate music to make it a complete commercial artist.”
