Pay tribute to “beautiful wife” after crash at the little Aston Golf Club

BBC News, West Midlands

One husband said he “looked at the horror of helplessness” as his wife was killed in a crash on the golf course.
Suzanne Cherry, 62, of Aldridge, West Midlands, died Tuesday at a hospital and was involved in police pursuit four days after she was hit by a gray Nissan van at Aston Wood Golf Club.
Her husband said his “beautiful wife” had “amazingly contagious enthusiasm” before their “future together was instantly snatched away.”
Six people were arrested for the incident, including suspected murder.
The husband said his wife was killed “in enjoying the safest thing among many of her hobbies.”
He added that she left “legacy and ineffective gaps” in the lives of her mother, three adult children, two stepchildren and “numerous other children in her work, sports activities and social circles.”

“She is selfless and ready to encourage love and support those around her to achieve more than she imagined,” he said.
